Gathering Point Resources

Live Sessions

Where possible, it is best to try and attend a live Gathering Point session, either online or in person. For candidates completing the award through their parish, it may be possible for the parish to arrange a series of sessions, or alternatively to get in touch with a school.

For parishes looking to host live sessions, feel free to use the resources below. Go through the presentations and allow time for discussion of any questions or issues that come up. The focus of these sessions is to get candidates thinking about the important themes that are explored, so that they can complete the sections in their Caritas Journal. There are supplementary aides further down the page to prompt answers and add some insight to each session.

Presentations

If you are unable to attend a Gathering Point in person, either at your school or parish, or if you would like to revisit anything, use these presentations to delve into the four sessions and help you to complete the sections of your Caritas Journal.

Additional Aid

Each Gathering Point presentation poses a number of questions. We encourage you to first try and go through each session on your own, answering as many questions as you can. However, if you would like a little more help, we have prepared some additional thoughts in response to the questions in each session. Feel free to use them to prompt more of your own responses, and to help you to complete your Caritas Journal.

Still Need Help?

If it’s just not making sense at all, or if you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch with the youth service. Anything we can’t answer ourselves will be redirected to a school or parish adviser who can help. No question is too big, small or silly!
